Murdered Man – Creature From The Haunted Cave

New ‘murdered man’ album in March?

Posted in music, Press Release on January 31, 2008 by gluvox

February is a short month crammed with two months worth of stuff. Here in Camp X-Ray we have double the interrogation, triple the physical discomfort and quadruple the psychological torture – and that’s just Valentines Day! Oh, I kid.

Heck it’s nothing. Not when you realize how many artists back in civilization are working their asses off making new CDs of original music in the month of February. Guess how many recording studios there are here Guantanamo Bay Prison? None. Nada. Prisoners on DEATH ROW in the US get recording studios, but just because these people think I’m a terrorist (I’m not), they’re like “no recording studio for you.” Is it fair? Of course it isn’t. But after four and half years of waterboarding you begin to ask yourself, “what is fair?”

“All’s fair in love and war”is a proverb in the public domain, at least I hope so. I don’t want to get sued by Proverb Inc. If I had access to a library I would look it up. All I have is a slow wifi computer that I traded for a promissory note of 9000 backrubs. So bear with me. I thnk it means that it’s okay to cheat as long as you’re a) fucking somebody or b) killing large groups of people. Cheating is down on the list. It almost doesn’t matter in the context of the kill/fuck paradigm.

Babies are born and people die. Bloggers who wanted to see what Afghanistan was like languish in steel cages in Git-Mo and the singer sings his song.

He sings it all night long.

Trying to figure out what the deal is with this crazy human race we find ourselves a part of, the singer bares his soul onto a hard drive via some brand of computer software the let’s him/her “sequence” the music in a way we can all enjoy.

But the music won’t exist until the end of February.

I wonder if I’ll exist until the end of February.

The Wayback Machine to 1992 – “HUGE”

Huge-1991

Way back when, long before there was a place called Git-Mo and I was just a boy and not a prisoner there was an obscure pop-punk/pre-emo/neo-garage-psych band called Huge who played around New York City from 1991-1993. Well thanks to someone’s new VHS/DVD recorder, Huge lives on into the new digital decade. Some of you were just pups when there was a lonesome acting student name Gregg Lopez (then using the waspy actor-name “Sutton”) prowling the east village drunk on infatuation and Olde English 800.
So here we have two clips, one synced to our demo (like a real video) and the other the raw live sound. this was only their second gig and there was no sound in the singer’s monitor and thus the vocals are badly off pitch. Oh well.

2 More Big Newses until the end of the year.

Great. Just Great. Here I am locked up in a secret prison until God knows when and wouldn’t you know it, two more brand new topical sketch omnibuses are going to be staged in a Hollywood Blvd. improv theater. This is one of the main things that suck about being locked up in gitmo, missing Big News. Every show is different, so if you miss one you FUCKING MISS IT MAN! I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to curse.  It’s all the torture I endure on a daily basis and also the general lack of hope.

New Mixes of “C The City” and “Brain Thieves”

Posted in Announcements on December 21, 2007 by gluvox

If you downloaded either of those two songs before Dec 21, delete them, and download the new versions on reverbnation.

“C The City” is about being one step from homelessness, holding onto the last simple creature comforts of home and the fleeting vision of the dream that did you in.

“Brain Thieves” is from last year’s Soundsville! show, but was cut from the performances.

These songs offer the barest comfort from the despair of being locked inside a human zoo.
